Hyundai to launch Verna Transform on Jun 25th in India at Rs. 7-9 lac

The South Korean auto giant Hyundai is all set to announce its all new Verna Transform on June 25th, 2010, well ahead of the launch of Hyundai Verna 2011 in India. The car will be launched as Hyundai Verna Transform all will come with a number of latest enhancements both in interior as well as exterior. The new Verna Transform is expected to face tough competition from other car makers namely, Honda City, Maruti SX4, Ford Fiesta and soon to be launched Volkswagen Vento in India. The new Verna Transform is set at a price of 7-9 lac in India.

Placed among the top three major auto sellers in the country, Hyundai Motors expects Verna Transform to earn raving response and the company hopes that with the enhancements offered the car will surely become popular in the segment. After being officially unveiled in South Korean market and after receiving good response from the market there, Hyundai hopes an action replay to happen in the Indian market as well.

The enhancements in Verna Transform will definitely include a revamped front as the front of the Verna has always been one of its problem areas. The car now comes with a more aggressive front fascia. The car promises to look downright hideous this time and is expected to include new bumpers, side mirror repeaters, radiator grill and all new headlamps.

Now speaking about the interior the Hyundai Verna Transform, the company has tried to bring the car with a better fuel efficiency. All its powertrains also receive fuel economy improvements. The interior comes with less power consuming eco friendly lamp in the dash board, a latest MP3 player, a USB port and iPod connectivity. The illuminated panel will now have blue lighting instead of green and the car will have radio, speedo and Tacho dials this time.

Hyundai will be carrying the current engine options to its Verna Transform and the car will comes in both 1.6L petrol and 1.5 L CDRI units. The petrol version is capable of delivering a fuel efficiency figure of 12-14 kmpl while the CDRI version appears a clear winner when it comes to fuel efficiency with 18-20 kmpl. The petrol engine makes 104 PS @5500rpm and CDRI makes 110PS @4000rpm.
