When HTC and Sprint started to roll out the Android 2.2 update, Droid customers started to wonder when Motorola’s going to roll out theirs. Motorola is known to have been coming up in the market with firsts. So not to be left behind, Verizon Wireless announced that it would have its Android 2.2 Froyo within the week.
Though Verizon did not mention when the update process will start, this is still good news for the mobile community. There are of course a number of reasons why Android 2.2 is most recommended, and of these reasons is the security issue. Android 2.1 has been found to lack a number of security features. However, with the 2.2 update on Droid, it could mean better password policies, administration and as well as protection. Other vital features are also included in the update like the latest flash incorporated in the browser, Wi-Fi Hotspot attributes, task managers and a lot more. Thus, 2.2 Froyo on Droid is spells nothing
